Lift Above Poverty Organization (LAPO) empowered 669,084community members across the country with health and social transformation skills between January and June 2019. The intervention was carried out in target states including Lagos, Abuja, Nasarawa, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Osun and Edo.

LAPO Trains 26,315 LAPO MfB Clients On Health, Social Issues

Lift Above Poverty Organization ( LAPO ) trained 12,770 clients of LAPO Microfinance Bank on health and social issues as well as empower them to resist and confront social discrimination and gender injustice inhibiting their progress and enjoyment of good life.


1,339 Women Receives Legal Aid, Human Rights Sensitization

LAPO promotes all-round progress for women and gives voice to the voiceless and the poor in society. Since 1987, the organization has been defending the rights of abused and violated women in Nigeria through pro bono service.

Between January and June 2019, over 1339 community women including those who were abused and violated received legal sensitization and intervention in Lagos, Abuja, Nasarawa, Ogun, Ondo, Oyo, Osun and Edo states.


LAPO Equips 1,213 Micro Business Owners With Business, Financial Skills

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are agents of economic growth, job generation and poverty reduction all over the world. In Nigeria, they are playing an important role in income distribution, employment and wealth creation.

As a part of her contributions to the development of this vital sector of the economy, LAPO is engaged in the capacity development of microenterprise operators as well as supports the growth and development of their businesses.
