LAPO Supports 108,367 Rural Farmers With N5.7 billion in 2017

The LAPO Agricultural and Rural Development Initiative (LARDI) supported 108,367 rural farmers with the sum of N5.7 billion in 2017. The organization equally provided them with high yield inputs and extension services, which significantly boosted their operations during the year.

LARDI is deeply committed to its mandate of developing the rural economy with innovative and affordable agricultural financing and support services. The organization was established in May 2007 with the overall objective of improving the income, food security and general living conditions of poor rural households, particularly women-headed households and youths. It currently maintains 120 branches in 19 states of the federation.

Most of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to LAPO for the support which they said has enabled them expand from subsistence to commercial farming.
