LAPO Provides 462 Women Free Legal Intervention

LAPO provided 462women free legal education between August and September, 2018 and defended the rights of four others who were unable to afford cost of legal representation.

For decades, the organization has been rendering free counselling, arbitration and legal services to women who are abused, violated and unable to afford legal fees.

The Executive Director, Sabina Idowu-Osehobo criticized the humiliating and barbaric treatment women are often subjected at the demise of their husbands, stressing that it was offensive and unconstitutional to subject women to any form of abuse under the guise of religious or customary practices.
